Eldermark Product Update for June

Written by Product Modernization Team | Jun 12, 2023 5:40:03 PM

Over the years, Eldermark customers have provided insights, suggestions, and feedback for the Eldermark platform. As we make progress with Version 1 of the modernized Eldermark Software Suite, we are pleased to share what will be featured in the inaugural release (to be tested by participants of the Early Innovator Program).

These features aren’t just “add-ons” -- they are an innate part of the new platform. Stay tuned for more updates in the coming months.

Simplified password reset

Re-setting a password will be possible via the login page, with the system sending an email or SMS message with a link to complete the reset. A designated administrator will also be able to reset passwords using the Account Management feature.

Role/user permissions that are easy to configure and streamlined

If you’ve ever set user roles in the legacy system, you'll be glad to hear that in Version 1, we’ve defined roles so that setting up new employees or modifying their access is substantially easier and can be done in as little as three clicks.

Administration of medications and treatments within a time window

Administrators will be able to require that users provide explanations for why they are administering medication outside a time window set in the system. This time window (before and after scheduled medication) is configurable by the community.

Mandatory health monitoring (vitals) prior or after the administration of specific medications

Users will be prompted by the system to collect vitals for certain medications configured by the community.

EMAR hotlist widget

This feature provides a single place that collects all the medication tasks and follow-ups that need to be completed. Users can easily see, and complete follow-ups related to PRN administrations, health monitoring, and overdue medications directly from the Medication Passes.

Validation on orders pending review

The system will check all the medications orders that are entered are compared to the Resident Medication Profile, and flag orders that are new, mismatched, or are potential duplicates (at the ingredient level!), making it easier and safer to review, correct, and accept medications into the record.
